Leadership is a conscious or unconscious and sustained or non-sustained human activity. It exists at both micro and macro levels. It is as old as creation itself. Theories and practice of leadership are multidisciplinary in nature. However, the commonality of its study remains the human element as characterized in extant leadership theories. The boundary of which leadership theory should be considered the best for transformational leadership remains a contentious issue in management science and political science discourses.
